Privacy Policy
In short
- We collect what we need to run Tellyport: your account details, your configuration, and the device telemetry your apps send.
- We do not sell personal data, show ads, or use advertising trackers.
- Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your data at legal@liqwizsolutions.uk.
1. Who we are
Tellyport is provided by LIQWIZSOLUTIONS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16203078, with its registered office at 127 Prescot Road, Fairfield, Liverpool, L7 0LB, England ("Liqwiz", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website, use the Tellyport console, or when applications built with Tellyport contact our service. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. Our role
- Controller: for the data of people who use our website and console (account holders, team members, and prospective customers), we decide how it is used and are the controller.
- Processor: for data that our customers' applications send to Tellyport about their own end users and devices, our customer is the controller and we process it only on their instructions. Questions about that data should go to the company whose app you use. Customers can request our data processing agreement at legal@liqwizsolutions.uk.

4. How we use it
- To provide the Service: deliver configuration to your apps, run health checks, process releases, and show device status in your console.
- To secure accounts and the Service: authenticate users, enforce permissions and rate limits, detect abuse, and keep the audit log.
- To send service emails: email verification, password resets, invitations, and important account or billing notices.
- To bill you and keep financial records.
- To answer support requests and improve reliability.
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Legal bases
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for, including your account, billing, and support.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve reliability, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: to keep financial records and respond to lawful requests.
- Consent: where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.
7. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
8. Retention
- Account and configuration data: while your account is active. After it is closed, you can request an export for 30 days, after which we delete it from active systems, and from backups as they expire.
- Audit logs: for the life of the project, because they record who changed production configuration.
- Device telemetry: only the latest state of each device is kept, for as long as the project exists. Customers can ask us to remove specific devices.
- Billing records: as long as UK tax and accounting law requires, typically six years.
- Sign-in sessions expire after 8 hours; email verification, password reset, and invitation links expire after 48 hours, 1 hour, and 7 days.
9. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, salted password hashing, encryption of stored secrets such as authenticator keys and single sign-on credentials, role-based access, optional two-factor authentication and single sign-on, signed configuration, and a tamper-evident audit log. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Information Commissioner's Office where the law requires.
11. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Email legal@liqwizsolutions.uk and we will respond within one month. If your data was sent to us by an app you use, we will pass your request to that app's operator, who controls the data.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
12. Children
The Tellyport website and console are for business users and are not directed at children. Customers who build apps for children are responsible for meeting the laws that apply to those apps.
13. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date at the top. For material changes we will notify account owners by email or in the console.
